Activities During Law School
Attorney Pouyan Bohloul earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Florida State University College of Law (FSU) in May 2015. During law school, he clerked for the Chief Judge of the Second Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, gaining firsthand insight into how cases are reviewed, analyzed, and decided. This experience provides him with a unique perspective that continues to inform his courtroom advocacy today.
While at FSU, Attorney Pouyan also served as President of the International Law Students Association (ILSA). In this role, he organized and led lunch-and-learn programs featuring international attorneys and subject-matter experts, creating opportunities for students to engage with diverse legal perspectives.
Publications
Attorney Pouyan’s work has been published by the American Bar Association’s Year in Review (2016) and the ABA’s International Law Section. He has also received a Certificate of Appreciation for his contributions to The World Bank Group’s Doing Business publication.
Earlier Experience
Before relocating to the United States, Attorney Pouyan was practicing law in Iran. In 2000, he gained admission to the prestigious University of Tehran after ranking 663 among nearly one million applicants in the national entrance examination. He earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in 2005 and was admitted to the Iranian Bar in 2007 after achieving the second-highest score on the bar exam among all other competitors.
Throughout law school, he worked at Bahrami Law Office, where he developed practical litigation and advocacy skills that shaped his professional style. Over the course of his career, he has represented both individuals and major corporations—including Honda and Mediterranean Shipping Company—in a wide range of transactional and adversarial matters.
